[Work in Progress] BotC LaTeX Almanac Generator (Python)
Windows, personal project
a.k.a. the "Clocktower Almanacizationator", is a script for scraping the Blood on the Clocktower wiki's character pages, and generating an almanac in LaTeX code format. i made this because i had been working on almanacs for my Clocktower homebrew scripts, and after manually creating one almanac page for an official character in the style i'd been using, i wanted to automate the process. it can currently generate a full almanac with no LaTeX errors, but there are some visual bugs caused by some pages having non-standard layouts (e.g. Djinn), among a few other things that need tweaking before i'm happy to wrap up the project
Flight Tracker App (Unity [C#])
Android, for private client
as part of my university course, i was matched with a helicopter pilot with an app concept: a flight tracking app that would allow specific users on the ground to track the status of an ongoing flight, designed as a safety tool and first measure against emergencies for smaller flight businesses. the development spanned the last two terms of my university course, as I enjoyed working on the project and decided to use it as the basis of my final writing project too. it continued for a few months afterwards too, as I polished the app into a state i was happy to call finished. while the current version still needs some testing, i'm very happy with what I was able to put together considering my lack of experience with mobile design and development at the time
VR Roundabout Sim (Unity [C#])
Meta Quest 3, university group project
after an initial brainstorming session, our group landed on the concept of a virtual reality app that would help new drivers get used to driving on roundabouts in a safe environment. the focus was less on realism, and more on building confidence when it came to timing and positioning on the road. the user has control over the car's speed, as well as the ability to change lanes, but no steering was required in order to keep the controls simple, which is always a priority when developing for VR, which can already be a lot for people new to the experience. i was the primary programmer for the project, and with the 10 week time limit that we had (arguably shorter on the code end, given the time needed for user testing and writing our study) i'm pleased with the results, as well as the experience I got of working with VR technology, as well as working within a team environment
Bank Holiday Entitlement Calculator (Windows Forms [Visual Basic])
Windows, for private client
i was commissioned to set up a simple application for streamlining a company's process of calculating its employees number of bank holidays in a given year. this application was pitched to the company, and while the feedback I got was positive, it has yet to be picked up. i hope to release it as a free app eventually, with some additions to improve user experience for bulk calculations
