i've been a hobbyist musician since i first started using free online DAWs for production
when i was in primary school. i've since upgraded to FL Studio, and have released albums of my own work, as
well as appeared alongside others on group/community projects, especially within the Homestuck fandom, which
I can attribute my continued interest in the hobby to greatly.
the links in each album's title lead to where the album is hosted, usually YouTube or Bandcamp. if that
source has no download link, all of my own tracks can be downloaded via the link at the bottom of the page
Crossmound - "Crossmound Vol. 1", 2023
compilation album, featured as Panfex (1 track)
album art (left) by GHSTHRLQN, track art (right) by entropicbias
i wish i had more to say for this one, but i'm not actually that familiar with the source fanadventure. i applied when a call was put out for musicians, and they liked what I had sent them, so i made Rainbow Night for them. my mum liked this track :D
Calypso - "Alt+Tab", 2022
solo album
album art by me, featuring screenshots from Portal and The Beginner's Guide
Alt+Tab is very much a sequel album, and i think it has both higher highs and lower lows than Hypercase. it was a lot more intentionally structured, which pays off to a certain extent, but some of the tracks feel a bit underbaked and would've benefitted from being longer. i still really enjoy this album, but when i inevitably get around to some deluxe versions, this is gonna be the most different to its original form, for sure
Calypso - "Hypercase", 2021
solo album
album art by me, based on the Source Engine's server browser
my first solo release, Hypercase is an amateur exploration of sample-based production, which I was still quite new to at the time. despite that, it contains some of my best "plunderphonics" style tracks, in my opinion, as well as holding up as a solid album experience, even if a quite brief one.
Of The Nine - "Liturgy of the Hours", 2021
collab album, featured as Calypso (4 tracks)
album art by ohnunu
Of The Nine is the name of a music collective consisting of myself and some friends, as well as the name of a creative writing project that has been in the back of our minds for a long while now. the album dabbles in both upbeat electronic and mellower acoustic sounds, with a variety of styles coming through thanks to the five contributors' differing approaches to production. i made the following tracks: Another Ascent, Invulnerable, Implode, Morbid
Ringscape - "Ringscape Vol. 1", 2021
collab album, featured as Panfex (3 tracks)
album art by knutone
Ringscape is my friend knutone's Homestuck fanadventure, and I made some tracks for it's first (and currently only) volume of music. he gave me some motifs and track concepts to start with, and then let me be, to which I made three tracks that i'm still quite happy with: Airspaceexcoriater, Two Wheeled Marvels, & Collapse
Unofficial MSPA Fans - "FriendSymphony", 2020
compilation album, featured as Panfex (1 track)
album art (left) by Knil, track art (right) by Awkward
the track Caught in the Facts (it's a pun on "caught in the act", heh) is a remix of Old Secret by James Roach I made. UMSPAF are a loose collective of artists and musicians that frequently collaborate on Homestuck-and-adjacent-media fan albums. they were planning an album based on the then relatively-new Hiveswap Friendsim, and I ended up joining in after a call for musicians was made. I was already a huge fan of the original track by Roach, so when the slot for a Boldir Lamati track (the character most associated with "Old Secret") was available, I jumped at the opportunity.
